The Panorama Samaritans started as a group of local golfers who saw a need to help children in our community and stepped up to address it. The first year they gave 20 children a $25 shopping spree at Dollar General. Through community efforts and local leadership, it grew to over 100 children each getting $40 to spend at the Kroger Marketplace in Willis. Some of the children pick out things they can give away to other family members, so everyone has something to open Christmas morning.

Last year the Panorama Lions Club took over this worthy event and voted to form a 501(c)(3) public charity to organize and run it, the Panorama Lions Charitable Foundation. The foundation is separate from the Panorama Lions Club. This makes public donations tax deductible up to the legal limit. The Panorama Lions Charitable Foundation is proud and honored to continue this annual community tradition.

Donations should be made to the Panorama Lions Charitable Foundation. Volunteers are always appreciated the morning of the event.
